Experiencia fantástica: I had an amazing experience. I live in the US and did all my booking with an agent over the phone. There was a lot of things that were important to me and that was the communication and for all of my concerns to be understood clearly. I have a cross overbite that I was worried about as well as a gummy smile and a tooth that was broken in half on impact. I did a lot of research before picking sonrisa italiana and it felt like they met all of my needs.The beginning process was smooth, I submitted all of my x-rays and sent the necessary videos and photos they asked. I did a down payment to secure the appointment via Zelle and then paid the rest the week before my trip also via Zelle. They work with you to do payment installments, but the full amount has to be paid before your appointment. A few days before my trip I was asked to send my flight information, someone from sonrisa italiana was going to pick me up at the airport. I was scared at first because I travelled alone and I’m a 27 year old female, but they gave me the exact name of the driver and sent me a picture of the car and license plate which I sent to my family back home so they knew what car I was getting into and with who. The pick up and drop off to the airport is complimentary (I didn’t know this so I paid the taxi). I stayed in a hotel that was two minutes away NH Collections (great hotel). This helped me get to my appointments easier. The Dr. Daniel attended me first and was very knowledgeable, he walked me step by step of everything we were going to do and I felt comfortable, I explained everything I wanted and did not like about my smile. Then I had Dr. Paola who is the sweetest and very patient and their assistant Valentina (who was super sweet). The place is super clean and high end I felt very safe and comfortable, all staff was very nice and the team that designed my veneers outdid themselves. I 100% recommend Sonrisa Italiana!

Experiencia fantástica: I had the opportunity to give my veneer son in June. I was a bit hesitant going to Columbia however, I was looking at the reviews, and I felt quite confident. I wanted to wait a few months just to give feedback from friends work associates just to see if anybody would say anything to be quite honest it’s been nothing but positive everyone says my teeth look very natural and that I have beautiful teeth. Dr. paola was amazing initially I was a bit nervous because she was so young, but she was very educated very patient and overall great energy she the veneers over total aesthetic and placement , which was quite a tedious and lengthy process more than I initially thought Doctor Zabaleta was great as well great energy. He corrected my bite and as well very meticulous . He kept making sure that my bite was corrected him and Dr. paola worked hand to hand just to make sure the dental aspect and aesthetic was perfect they make a excellent team. The periodontist was great as well my only issue, though what I said, I would’ve got the gum contour on all my teeth just to make them look more perfect but it is not a huge deal, but overall it was great. It was painless doing the gum conjuring Everybody was really nice pleasant and overall great energy. I had a really good experience like I said the veneer process was quite tedious. We did start later the last day we didn’t get done till maybe like 3:00-4:00 am in the morning which is quite different from the states . after they took me out to a fabulous authentic Colombian restaurant and then they drove me home, which was a unique and great experience but they made me feel so comfortable like family . I would definitely feel comfortable bring my mom to get her teeth done. The final thing is once I go to my dentist I’m curious to see what they’re gonna say but overall, my teeth look beautiful and they were very caring and yes, I would definitely go back.

She was amazing . The booking process was smooth and I never felt pressured . When entering the clinic I was greeted by the whole staff everyone made me feel extremely comfortable from the beginning which was good for me since I’m a baby when it comes to dentistry . I sat down with the whole team explained my situation to them they explained to me my options and what they thought was best for my situation then started the process . I had a lot of work done honestly I don’t think I would’ve been able to make it thru the week if it wasn’t for their amazing staff . Experiencia fantástica: US patient here. I spent a year researching doctors in Colombia and obtaining quotes from different doctors. Sonrisa was by far the most responsive and accommodating as an international patient. I was quickly put in contact with a US based person to talk through the process, travel, and cost. The quote was still way cheaper than other Colombian based doctors, but they still made me feel the most reassured. I traveled there as a solo female and felt safe and comfortable the whole time. The week long process can be a bit overwhelming, but I’m so happy I did it. I’m absolutely thrilled with my veneers, and it’s been a month post-install with absolutely no issues. The only FYI I’d give to any other US patients- don’t expect to have Dr. Zabaleta. This wasn’t exactly explained ahead of time, but my Dentist ended up being Dr. Paola Zabaleta. She was still amazing, and I’m very pleased. Also avoid any layovers in Colombia if you can. I had layovers in Bogota both ways and it was a nightmare. Missed both connections due to no fault of my own. Get the layover out of Miami if you can!

I’m getting a lot of compliments and everyone says my teeth look natural. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was doing photos and videos during the process. Experiencia negativa: I recently had a disappointing experience with Doctor Zabaleta and can not recommend him. Despite initially thinking he was a great doctor, I was disappointed with his bad bedside manner and the quality of his services. During my treatment, he frequently answered his phone and talked for extended periods, which was frustrating. Moreover, I spent almost 10k on dental work that left me with a bite that causes headaches and teeth that feel like something is stuck between them. Before starting the treatment, I had asked if he or his assistant did most of the work, and he assured me that he would be performing the procedures. However, when I traveled to Colombia in May 2021 for the dental work, he did not perform it, and the veneers were not right, my gums were swollen, and one veneer was loose. I contacted Doctor Zabaleta and told him about these issues, and he asked me to come back in October 2021 and stay for 15 days to monitor my gums, which he did not do. Make me stay for all that time for nothing!! He did not even give me anything to reduce inflammation. The second treatment was entirely different, it felt as if it was being done for free. Doctor Zabaleta personally applied the veneers during my second visit, but I was disappointed with the quality of his work. Considering he gives seminars and classes, I expected him to do a better job. On the day of my return to the US, I told his assistant that my bite was not right, but Doctor Zabaleta did not even show up in the treatment room to fix it or see what was wrong. Instead, he sent a laboratory technician to do it. The whole staff treated me with respect Being a American not knowing the language. Office is clean and comfortable and using the latest technology. The Dentist was excellent. He had such a great bedside manner. Which to me is very important. He also explained everything step-by-step. When he really didn't have to, but it was very good that he did and very much appreciated.
